Burlberry Studios/ Mucky Me Pottery Classes

Landsdowne, Pictou County, NS

Working as a pottery artist and additionally focusing on horticultural endeavors through the summer, I am a lover of all forms of creation.  I learned about pottery at a young age and felt drawn to its capabilities.  It wasn’t until I had grown and settled in Pictou County that I was able to find this passion again.  I reunited myself with the medium by reading, observing and practicing different techniques until I developed my own methods.
For eight years I have been selling my work at various festivals, café’s, farmers markets and gift shops throughout Nova Scotia.  Following my fathers example as a teacher, I have felt comfortable sharing my experience with others and have enjoyed teaching various pottery classes over the past few years.  Recently I have begun teaching lessons in an art studio operated by the town of New Glasgow.
In the studio I will always continue to experiment, research and be innovative, but most of all, I will choose to follow a path that only creativity can reveal.  My work often reflects a freedom of composition found in nature or it contains a slight reverie of life's past inspirations.
