I am inspired by the vista of the Bay of Fundy from my windows. I walk the shoreline as often as possible and now keep track of the tides. The routine is so familiar that my dog leads the way from our house to the wharf in Maitland. The best walking time is 2–3 hours after high tide, when the shore is enlarging and the seagrass changing colours as it emerges. The sky, the water, and the shore give me so much to work with and be thankful for.

I work mainly in colours inspired by the Bay of Fundy and try to stay with organic shapes. My work is both wheel-thrown and hand-built. Much of the wheel throwing is hand-altered. I have also been experimenting with different clays this year.

I moved from Montreal to Hants County, Nova Scotia, in 2008. I trained at the Visual Arts Centre, Westmount, Quebec, under Eva Lapka.
